Electrical shark deterrent
In the last couple of years, shark attacks occured more frequently than ever before. Surfers make the the bulk of people attacked by sharks. Just last week, a surfer was attacked and injured by a shark on the NSW coast. Experts say that the shark attacks will not decrease, but there are ways to prevent them. Among other methods, the Western Australian Government developed a new electrical shark deterrent, which could save surfers from getting attacked.
Professor Andy Davis from the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Wollongong joined Mick Radojkovic to tell us more.
