Employ-My-Ability National Campaign Advocating for Equal Employment

Are you on the hunt for a job? Many job seekers are applying for numerous jobs trying to get their foot in the door for employment. This task can be a bigger challenge for young Australians with a disability or mental illness who face barriers to employment.

In the aim to dispel misconceptions and shine a light on the barriers young people face, a national campaign has been released called #SeeME. The tagline for the campaign is ‘employMYability’ and encourages employers to focus on employees abilities and create equal job opportunities.

Carmel Crouch the managing director of STEPS Group Australia, the not for profit organisation running this campaign joined The Daily.
