End of diplomatic deep freeze: Xi Jinping meets with Anthony Albanese
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has spoken with China’s President Xi Jinping in a historic meeting between the two leaders. This ushers in renewed potential for improved diplomatic ties between China and Australia.
Albanese asserted that any relations with China would not come at the expensive of Australia safeguarding its sovereignty and interests. However, he maintained that their bilateral relationship was still an important one.
