About the episode

They’re best mates. They get up to mischief like normal teenagers, hanging out and goofing around. One writes rap music, the other plays sport. They both know what it’s like to be homeless. The duo met at a refuge for young people, and at the time neither of them were attending school. This is their story of getting back into education.

Episode 3 of the All Things Equal podcast explores youth homelessness and its impact on schooling, drug addiction and how the Australian education system deals with students who have problems at home.

We hear the stories of two boys from Key College, a Sydney high school for homeless young people, from homelessness and expulsion to successfully completing Year Ten.
