Rangan Srikhanta

More than 55,000 kids around Australia owe their colourful little laptops to One Laptop per Child Australia. An organisation founded and run by Rangan Srikhanta, a former refugee and graduate of the University of Technology Sydney.

Growing up, Rangan had his sights set on becoming a CEO of a big corporation. But it was his passion for social justice and will to give back to Australia that took over. After a brief stopover at Deloitte, Rangan has concentrated on growing One Laptop per Child.

Later this year, One Laptop per Child will be launching a brand new, Australian designed laptop. From there Rangan hopes to expand to other countries, across Asia and South America. He speaks to Josh Nicholas.
