The wage gap between Australian men and women sits at 18.8 per cent – but once they hit retirement, the difference in superannuation is currently 46.6 per cent. A Senate enquiry is currently underway into Women’s Financial Security in Retirement and the submissions show a lot of women out there are seriously concerned for their financial futures. On the show this week we look at what can be done to close the gap and ensure women can have access to the same financial security as men.
