Sustainable start up away from home
After graduation could you do a mindless 9-5 job then go island hopping with the money or actually stay on an island while earning your keep.
Dutch citizen Kyra Hoevenaars actually stayed after graduation for the next 6 years.
She did her internship in one of the roughest terrains in the Philippines where the crocodiles live.
Six years later she’s now the Executive Director of Centre for Sustainability in one of the most pristine islands in the Southern region of the Philippines – Palawan.
Along with other young social entrepreneurs they manage and breed a grouper species of fish to generate income and do something sustainable for the local ecology.
