The Thread links one song to the next through some sort of link.
This show is influenced by the children’s song ‘Heads and Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ with songs about shoulders, heads, hearts, legs and knees. I ran out of time before I got to the toes (possibly will feature in a future thread).

Scout Niblett and Jens Lekman – not on the same track, but both have released albums on the Secretly Canadian label;
Blake Babies, Juliana Hatfield’s band before she recorded with The Lemonheads
Charles Bradley covering Neil Young’s ‘Heart of Gold’ from the album ‘Black Velvet’ – the last one recorded before Charles Bradley died and featuring Sharon Jones’ backing band, The Daptones.
Pearl Earl, an all female four piece from Denton, Texas and finally
Cherry Hearts, a song by The Shins (which includes ‘hearts’ and ‘shins’ – two body parts).
