MCA Zine Fair
Plenty of experimental and emerging artists at the fair there will be plenty of zines, small press publications, prints and comics from around the country.
Take along a bunch of coins and pick up some DIY gems tomorrow from 10.30 at the MCA in The Rocks.
EVERYDAY MACHINES #2
Alaska Projects and Tom Smith have programmed a three experimental sound performances that are bringing everyday machines to life. Exploring everything from CAPTCHA systems and internet tracking cookies to the cutest, sad egg Gudetama.
The whole thing is FREE and kicks off at 4pm today at Alaska Projects in the Kings Cross Carpark.
Special Screening of Tokyo Story
Made shortly after the second world war, the film explores the deep generational differences of post-war Japan.
And it has been voted one of the best films of all time, so it would be a good one to get out to.
Tokyo Story is showing today at 3pm at Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation in Paddington and is $10. And that comes with Japanese savoury snacks – yummo!
