Exhibition rises Out Of The Ashes
It was on, then it was online, now it is on again. The Out of the Ashes exhibition has some fantastic news. With the relaxing of COVID 19 restrictions, an exhibition opening is going ahead at the Wellington Gallery in Waterloo.
There have been a number of great art exhibition fundraisers for the bush-fire victims of NSW but Out of the Ashes fundraiser is slightly different. All of the artists exhibiting are from the NSW south coast and have been deeply affected by the fires. Some lost their homes, some lost their studios. Some lost both. So to have an exhibition, something to work towards in a time of great distress, was a godsend for them. The other fantastic thing about this exhibition is Wellington Gallery is donating the space, meaning the artists take home 100% of the proceeds of their sales. So whilst the exhibition has been underway online, it is fantastic that a physical event is going to take place.
