It will probably come as a shock that the very same websites that we use to sell old chests of drawers and buy cheap tennis balls, are also channels for the trade of exotic animals. It’s all happening out in the broad daylight of the open web – this is not even Dark Web stuff.
Jess spoke to Kelly Pearson, Program Officer from the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) to find out more about how widespread this illegal trade is.
