Eye tracking technology assisting dementia patients

Eye tracking technology has had a bad rap of late: it’s been associated with pervasive security at big retail outlets and many have suggested its potential to intrude on privacy far outweighs its benefits.

But researchers at Flinders University say they’ve found the technology can actually assist people with dementia – especially the aged and frail – lead a better quality of life.

National Radio News Director Frank Bonaccorso started asking Senior Research Fellow, Dr Rachel Milte, how is eye tracking technology help people with dementia.
