Faced With Death: How People Grieve on Facebook

We’re very connected to social media, sometimes too connected. For people whose loved ones have moved on, it can be hard to let go of memories—even ones archived on Facebook. It’s raised the issue of whether people in grief should unfriend their deceased loved ones. 

Dr Tama Leaver, Associate Professor in Internet Studies at Curtin University, joined The Daily to talk about the ways Facebook users process their grief.
