Falling Victim to Extremist Ideologies

Acts of political extremism have occurred in society for a long time and have had irreversable impacts. How people become vulnerable to these extremist narratives are a result of media portrayal, stereotypes, and a lack of belonging.
Dr Vivian Gerrand, a Research Fellow at the Alfred Deakin Institute at Deakin University, joined us this morning to explain strategies on how to not fall victim to these extremist ideologies.
