Fashion Sustainability – Clean Up Australia
Australia is one of the biggest contributors to fashion pollution in the world. How can we take measures as a nation to prevent further pollution?
Did you Know it take 2,700 litres of water to produce a single cotton t-shirt and approximately 7,000 litre os water to produce one pair of jeans. For every ten minutes in Australia, a total of 15 tonnes of clothing and fabric waste is dumped into landfill. Chair of Clean Up Australia, Pip Kiernan joins us to discuss the importance of sustainability in the fashion industry and ways we can protect and prevent the negative impact it can have on our environment.
