A La Sala by Khruangbin

The Feature Album this week on 2SER comes from Khruangbin, with their incredible fourth solo studio record – A La Sala.

The Houston, Texas-based trio of Laura Lee Ochoa on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and DJ Johnson on drums  have perfected the art of cosmic groove-based arrangements, and  A La Sala takes their command of their sound further. It’s a beautiful hit of liquid jazz-funk that coasts on warm sunlit grooves and and gentle rhythmic pulses, taking inspiration from West African Disco, Latin Soul and sounds reminiscent of private press funk of the 70s.

A La Sala is out now on Dead Oceans / Night Time Stories
