A Nice Sit Down by Lord Esme

The Feature Album this week on 2SER is the debut album from Sydney four piece Lord Esme.

Bonding over a love of questionable sax solos, cardigans and non-too-serious attitude to songwriting (and music videos as you’ll see below – check their channel). Recorded in their loungeroom with the help of Hospital Hill producers, “A Nice Sit Down” is a beautifully understated take on guitar pop (“scone rock” if you will) imbued with big dollops of heart and dry humour. Covering everything from odes to plants, budding romances and misdirected mail, it’s an eminently relatable and excellently put together record and highly recommended for sitting, standing or anything else you may find yourself up to.
