Recorded in 2022 and 2023 in Marrickville, Crime in Australia is the fourth studio record from the boundary-breaking local noise rock duo of Kirsty Trickle and Jonathan Boulet, and is a twisted vision of the underbelly of 1980s inner city Sydney where crooked politicians, sleazy cops and demented miscreants run wild:

“The record feels split into two contrasting sides. The first half is ‘order’, being as listenable as Party Dozen has ever been. Each song is law abiding and dignified in its own place. The second half is ‘disorder,’ becoming more unlawful, unhinged, louder and noisier. “

Disgusting basslines and demented hooks underpin instrumental tracks that have the rare quality of being both industrial and funky, and as a whole it’s another masterful album of demented experimentation.
