This week’s feature album here on 2SER is the hot new album titled Medicine by American Psych-Rock Ensemble, Orchestra GOLD.

Medicine is a journey through West African psychedelic and fuzz funk sounds, full of horns, hot rhythms and funky bass grooves to keep you engaged and entertained.  The fusion of African Psych Rock presents a strong, powerful and unique sound that hooks listeners in.

A decade in the making, this album is a collaboration between vocalist Mariam Diakite and Erich Huffaker. Diakite’s hypnotic vocals are a homage to her Malian roots. Combined with the skilful technique of Huffaker and the other musicians, this emulsion of a solid brass section, guitar riffs and a swinging rhythm leaves nothing to be desired. 

The album titled, Medicine, is a continuation of their pursuit to spread healing and community through music. With the hypnotic instrumentals from various skilled musicians and Diakite’s masterful vocals, this is truly an album you can lose yourself in.
