Robert Forster – The Candle and the Flame

The Feature Album this week on 2SER 107.3 is the eighth solo outing from master songwriter Robert Forster, and his first since 2019’s Inferno.

Many of the songs on The Candle and the flame are collaborations with Robert’s wife (and violinist/bassist) Karin Baumler and were made amidst her fight with ovarian cancer. And the album hits home as both an emotive and highly personal one, touching on distant yet clear memories as well as human frailties and resilience.

The Candle and the Flame is out on vinyl and digital now via EMI Records.
