The Making of Silk by Allysha Joy

The Feature Album this week on 2SER 107.3 is The Making of Silk, the third solo record from longstanding 30/70 member Allysha Joy.

Entirely self-produced, the Naarm vocalist, poet andkeyboardist carves through exquisitely arranged jazz, soul and RnB. It’s a real stunner that explores understandings of love and self via raw poeticism. Merging sumptuous strings,  fluid rhythms and layered vocals, it’s another milestone release from one of the key driving forces in Australian jazz and soul. Highly recommended!
