Widowspeak – Plum

On their fifth album ‘Plum’, New York’s Widowspeak have harvested dream-pop reverie with some finely hand picked folk and country tinges.
The duo, made up of singer-songwriter Molly Hamilton and guitarist Robert Earl Thomas, have put together a record that’s as easy going as it is considered. It’s generous with dusty guitars, warm arrangements, and hypnotic melodies – all elements which we’ve come to know from Widowspeak – but with newfound introspection and that seems them reflecting on Wabi-Sabi, the Japanese philosophy based around observation and acceptance.
