Federal Government Considers Tax On Parcels Entering Australia
Late last week, the Federal Government announced it was interested in adding a levy between $2 to $7 on all parcels coming into Australia via online purchases.
The infamous so-called “Australia tax” already makes items more expensive to buy here compared to anywhere else in the world, so with this new tax could customers be dissuaded from shipping in cheaper objects purchased overseas?
