With the latest season of Stranger Things out on Netflix, it’s no surprise with all of its success that season would blow up. Because of this, 80s trends are making a comeback. Kate Bush’s – Running Up That Hill is the number one song on the Spotify charts, mullets are back along with clothing trends. Gen Z seem to have taken over these trends which makes us think… They weren’t even born during the 80s. We spoke to Dr Tom van Laer, Associate Professor of Narratology from University of Sydney to discuss pseudo-nostalgia within Gen Z.
