Feminist Roast with Jane Caro AM
While a “roast” normally takes the piss on an individual, the Sydney Opera House will present a roast on a movement – the feminist movement.
For International Women’s Day on Friday 8th March, the Sydney Opera House will hold its 12th annual All About Women festival, with a line-up of 24 events featuring 40 international and Australian artists, thinkers and storytellers exploring big ideas important to women and their allies through conversations, panels and workshops.
Placing feminism in the hot seat, the Feminist Roast is a red-hot line-up of six of the most iconoclastic, amusing, funny and entertaining women you know roasting feminism – from the suffrage to the women’s liberation movement, from wages to #MeToo, and from beauty norms to care work. Expect some seriously harsh burns – both a takedown and an ode to feminism.
It’s on Sunday 10th March at 6pm, one of the speakers at the Feminist Roast, a social commentator, writer and best-selling novelist, Jane Caro, joined Danny Chifley on the breakfast show.
