Fighting violence with writing
Domestic violence is a serious issue in Australia that has always garnered much discussion about what each member of society can do to combat it.
This is one of the topics put front and center at the Feminist Writers Festival, coming to Sydney for the first time this November. The festival is bringing a bunch of amazing feminist writers and thinkers along to discuss topics such as violence against women, media representation, mentoring, race and #metoo.
We were joined today by Fairfax Columnist and UTS academic Ms Jenna Price to talk about what effect writing has on opposing domestic violence.
