How the first quantum satellite could revolutionise security

The world’s first quantum satellite, named the Quantum Experiments at Space Scale, or QUESS, was launched by China last week, unlocking a number of possibilities for the future of electronic security. The 600kg satellite will undertake a two year mission named Mozi, with the name inspired by an ancient Chinese philosopher. To find out how quantum satellites could shape the future of electronic security, we were joined by Professor Stephen Bartlett, from The Quantum Physics Research Group at the University of Sydney.
