Flying the Aus Aboriginal Flag Proudly

There have been many debates on the issue of the Aboriginal flag only being flown on Harbour Bridge for 19 days a year. Many would like to see it permanently placed on the bridge to acknowledge and celebrate the indigenous heritage of the Aboriginal people. However this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to addressing Aboriginal rights and changes that need to be put in place. Cheree Toka is one of the many Indigenous activists who is fighting for the flag to be a permanent fixture, planning to raise $300,000 to cover the cost of the flag after the government said it was too costly.
