Foodbank Australia: Fighting Hunger

A surprising one in six Australians have experience ‘food insecurity’ in the past 12 month, skipping meals in order to make ends meet. Foodbank Australia is a not-for-profit aimed at supplying charities with food to help those in need. Foodback just has a record August, supplying 13 million serves of food — a bittersweet success given the sharp rise in need. Nic spoke with Foodbank Australia’s General Manager, Sarah Pennell to understand where the food is sourced from and why it’s so needed.
