Former President Duterte whisked away to the Hague to stand trial

In a surprise move the Philippines under President Marcos arrested former President Duterte on behalf of the International Criminal Court in the Hague just as he flew back from electioneering in Hong Kong.
The Philippines pulled out of the ICC under former President Duterte, so Duterte supporters are claiming he has been abducted by an overseas court with no jurisdiction.
This comes in the background of mid-term elections, with the Vice President Sara Duterte being his daughter, and current impeachment proceedings underway against her by the Marcos controlled congress.
