Former Socceroo Captain Paul Wade helps refugees
Starting a new life in Australia is hard enough, let alone when you’re coming from a war-torn country.
Thankfully, there are organisations like NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS) which try to bridge that gap and make the transition as easy as possible.
One of STARTTS’ ambassadors is former Socceroos Captain, Paul Wade. John Seroukas spoke to Paul about the program and the the way its shaped refugees’ transitions into Australian life.
