Frog ID: saving frogs with a phone app

Sir David Attenborough has described them as the ‘lifeblood of many environments’. The humble frog is one of the first animal species to feel the impact of environmental changes, and declining frog populations are a ‘warning call’ of the impacts of climate change and the pollution in Australia’s waterways and ecosystems

But, the Australian Museum are coming to the rescue with the launch of the FrogID app – a national citizen science rescue mission that everyone can take part in.

We spoke with Dr Jodi Rowley, one of Australia’s leading frog experts and the Australian Museum’s Curator of Amphibian & Reptile Conservation Biology.
