Future of Sydney’s Water Quality During Bushfires

Sydney’s drinking water supply could be at risk as pollution from the bushfires makes its way into the Warragamba dam catchment.

In the course of the bushfires many regional communities such as Tenterfield have been impacted by the ash polluting water. As a result of the pollution, residents have been forced to boil their water for the past couple of months.

In the following piece, Marlene Even spoke with environmental engineer Professor Stuart Khan at the University of NSW to ask what the current situation is in Sydney.
