Galleries adapt to hold their clients’ gaze

Art galleries large and small have had a rough time with COVID-19. Doors closed. Exhibitions postponed. Art lovers turned away. Internationally some galleries are slowly starting to open, with Berlin leading the way taking extra precautions to ensure a balance between art enjoyment and public safety.

Closer to home, Gig Moses, Gallery Director of  The Moree Gallery in north west New South Wales, has upped her online game to hold her clients’ gaze. Instagram lives, online exhibitions, and increased communication with artists and clients, has helped her not just maintain her audience, but also expand it. With her fist major exhibition launching for the year, Gig joined Willy Russo to talk about gallery life in a time of COVID.
