Garrigarrang – Sea Country at the Australian Museum

The experience of Indigenous Australian history and culture is deeply entrenched in the sustainability and conservation of the environment, a knowledge that is often forgotten in modern ecology.

A new permanent exhibition at the Australian Museum, called Garrigarrang – Sea and Country, is now showcasing and revealing the stories of Indigenous coastal communities and their extensive ecological knowledge and spiritual connection to the sea and land.
