Gender, Norms and Textiles

Danny spoke with artist Isabel Avendano-Hazbun, creator of GIANTS: a feminist exploration of dress and adornment. Completing formal education in both textiles and fine furniture design, her current work at the Australian Design Centre suggests dress as a universal, non-verbal and accessible language that can be used as a tool to subvert gender conditioning.
