Geo-blocking, piracy and copyright law
In an effort to put a stop to piracy, Australian Telcos are now required to block access to pirating sites such as The Pirate Bay, Torrentz, Torent Hound, IsoHunt and SolarMovie, after a federal court hearing last week.
Conversely, the Productivity Commissioner released a report this week saying that we should ease up on geo-blocking, copyright restrictions and IP law.
