George Negus – Journalist
George Negus was a television current affairs icon, being at the forefront of innovation and journalism throughout a long and stellar career.
He passed away 15 October 2024 from Alzheimers disease, survived by his wife Kirsty Cockburn and sons Ned and Serge.
He hosted the ground breaking 6o Minutes, Today, Foreign Correspondent and Dateline programs to name a few, and also had a program 6:30 George Negus where he worked with a young foreign correspondent Hamish Macdonald.
