Gladys Berejiklian resigns as Premier of New South Wales
In a surprising move today, Gladys Berejiklian announced her resignation as Premier of New South Wales and from State Parliament.
The Independent Commission Against Corruption is investigating if Ms Berejiklian breached public trust on community grants given between 2012 and 2018 and if there was a conflict of interests while she was in a relationship with then-MP Daryl Maguire.
Ms Berejiklian was informed about the investigation yesterday, and decided to resign and quit politics.
