Goddess911 and their pursuit of finding themselves
They’ve both been involved with some of the biggest local bands of the 21st century. Alister Wright with Cloud Control and later Vlossom, and guitarist Sam Lockwood with The Jezabels. Through those bands they’ve released albums that have changed the course of Australian music.
Now, Alister and Sam have teamed up for a new duo called Goddess911 – a beguiling, indie, electronic project that sees them tackle some pretty big themes: the concept of utopia, destruction, humanity’s innate selfishness.
It’s all captured on a recently released EP titled IFIU – or I Fucked It Up, and Mick & Jules from The Tuckshop chatted to Sam Lockwood, just days before making their live debut at the Phoenix Central Park.
