This weekend, a new independent candidate launched her campaign hoping to win the Gold Coast seat of McPherson, which has been held by LNP’s Karen Andrews for the last 14 years. 

The process to select Erchana Murray-Bartlett as an independent candidate took more than 9 months, and included a listening report from the local community about their concerns. 

This weekend, Ms Murray-Bartlett was joined by Independent Senator for the ACT David Pocock to support the launch of her campaign.
