Google Introduces Lifelike Artificial Intelligence

In mid-May, tech giant Google unveiled its newest software: Google Duplex. It is an Artificial Intelligence that has been touted as the most lifelike AI in the world, and it’s so convincing, it can leave people who speak to it over the phone thinking they are speaking to an actual human.

The AI can be used to make appointments and make other calls on your behalf. However, the tech has been criticized by some as being a bit creepy, and could possibly be abused. The Daily was joined by Professor Ian Reid, from the University of Adelaide’s Australian Institute for Machine Learning.
