Government Cuts Back Marine Protection

The Australian Government created one of the world’s largest networks of marine reserves that circled the continent only 5 years ago, in order to protect the marine life and surrounding areas. However, recently the government has released a ‘heavily revised blueprint’ of the newest cutbacks on the reservation and conservation. What does this mean for our oceans? Are we better off? We spoke to to Professor David Booth from the university of Technology Sydney to answer our questions.
