The ‘Grand Theft Auto’ Generation
The issue of whether video games cause violence is one that has dominated the industry for years, with countless releases garnering controversy from media outlets. Some consider the violence portrayed in video games, such as the infamous ‘Grand Theft Auto’ series, can negatively affect the minds of the young people that play them.
Today we were joined by Michael Kasumovic, evolutionary biologist and ARC future follower from UNSW, for his input on the “Grand Theft Auto Generation” and if the idea of video games causing violence is a legitimate concern or merely a scapegoat.
