Greens launch election housing policy

When the covid pandemic first hit Australia and lockdowns severely impacted the economy, there were fears of a collapse in the housing market.
These fears have proved unfounded and the last year has seen dramatic increases in house prices. In Sydney and Canberra prices have increased by 24%
However homelessness is on the rise and many people face a wait of 10 years or more for access to affordable housing.
The Greens have launched a comprehensive set of housing policies which they hope will help propel them into a position where they hold the balance of power after the next election.
