Hairdressers join the fight against domestic violence
Hairdressers are taking up arms against domestic violence with a new program in Victoria teaching hairdressers how to treat victims of domestic violence, how to refer them to professional counselors and even emergency shelters when appropriate- and there are plans to make the program Australia-wide.
Tess chatted with Jenny Jackson, the Executive Director for Eastern Domestic Violence Service (EDVOS) about where the idea for the program came from.
