The stars have captured our imagination for countless generations, and as science and technology has brought us closer, the many unfathomable aspects of our universe have gotten more and more accessible. For those of us who aren’t qualified to venture beyond the atmosphere, it’s down to scientists and artists to capture glimpses of the universe for us to wonder at, and leading the charge in a wave of artists bringing the wonders of the universe closer to us is Cathrin Machin. Coming from a decade-long career in video games, Cathrin made the leap to art with a crowdfunding campaign that blew records out of the water and now she works full-time on her contemporary astro-art.
