Has Australia’s politics changed after this election?
Last weekend, Australia decided to change government, and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was sworn in on Monday just before flying to Tokyo.
While the votes are still being counted, it was unsurprising to see Labor would form government, but they received the lowest percentage of primary votes in a Federal election.
With more teal independents and the previous government not prioritising climate change, the Coalition has become the opposition for the first time in almost a decade. It raises the question whether Australia has shaken up its political system.
