Hayley Mary doesn’t do things in halves, she goes to XS!

Australia’s been enamoured with Hayley Mary since we first heard her distinctive, soaring vocals on tracks like ‘Disco Biscuit Love’ and ‘Hurt Me’, back in 2009, with The Jezabels.

As the formidable, charismatic frontwoman of the band Hayley Mary won an ARIA and toured the globe for over a decade, with songs like ‘Endless Summer’ and ‘Mace Spray’ cemented in Australian rock history.

In the last few years, she’s walked her own path, releasing three incredible solo EPs that see her spinning in gleaming ‘80s rock and pop. Now she’s about to unveil her debut album, ROMAN XS, and trek out on a headline tour across the country.

She stopped by The Tuckshop to share her thoughts on being an independent musician, how David Bowie’s passing sparked her solo career and the serendipity of life.
