Hazard Reduction Haze Causing Health Risk for Sydney
As all Sydneysiders will be aware, the city has suffered the last few days blanketed by smoke. Hazard reduction burns in the city’s north have caused a haze to descend over the beaches, north shore and CBD. To help unpack the causes and implications of Sydney’s smoke, we spoke to Inspector Ben Shepherd from the New South Wales Rural Fire Service.
